Wine Barrel Ownership Program

Enjoy the most delightful, complex, sophisticated, blend or varietal you could ever imagine... your own.

Our vineyards are irrigated by the purist run-off from the snow-capped Andes, and are primed year-round and then carefully hand-harvested at their peak maturity and optimum tannin levels. Our personalized barrels are available in French or American Oak. As a barrel owner you are encouraged to seek the advice and guidance of our winemaker, but ultimately you will decide the length of time your wine spends in its barrel, and may taste the wine at any time during the aging process.

• Each barrel owner is entitled to a complimentary two night stay (for up to two people) at Finca Los Álamos or at Algodon Wine Estates in San Rafael, Mendoza, in order to taste the wine at the end of its first aging period.
• Your wine will be bottled and branded with your own personal label. There are nine designs currently available, however you may choose to supply your own design, or work with our designer in order to create one (additional fees apply).
• Each barrel yields approximately 290 bottles and may be used up to 3 times. The 2nd use typically yields the highest quality wine. The cost to refill your barrel is US$2,500. You also have the option to share a barrel with one or two friends. Please contact us to learn more.
• Varietals available include Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Bonarda, and Chardonnay.
• Depending on which oak you select, the privilege of your own private wine label will cost you between $24 and $27 per bottle. (Wines produced through the barrel program cannot be sold.)
  
• We offer middle toasted barrels which impart a medium oak flavor on the wine. Below are the available barrels & total program cost* for the 1st year (prices in $US):
