Chardonnay Reserve 2008
The bright yellow-green color shows the youth of this wine which shows aromas of tropical fruits, citrus and a hint of pears. This Chardonnay was aged briefly in American-oak barrels, and the contact with the charred wood gives depth and complexity to the wine. A wine produced in a specific terroir which keeps intact all the virtues of this variety, with a perfect harmony between the fruit and the wood - combining nature, art and variety.
Pairing: The complexity and charm of this wine complements perfectly red meats such as pork loin, pear marmalade in a reduction of the same wine, or a hint of ginger and glazed onions. Also, it goes wonderfully with shellfish or well-seasoned seafood and rice, and indeed cream desserts, pineapple, vanilla and citric marmalades.
